The Art of Feminism and Migration with Sumaira Tazeen

In this episode, Sumaira talks about the journey of immigrating as an artist, including the struggle to create community, navigate gender normative roles, the barriers of the mainstream art scene, and juggling the gigging economy of artists. Sumaira’s art reflects real life struggles and engages women in exploring trauma, women’s frustration, and common issues across diaspora and gender.
